Math Science and Language Camp with Fort Worth ISD – Summer 2018
At the Andrews Institute Summer Camp, newcomers to the United States learn math and science concepts through hands-on activities. During the four-week camp, students learned about critical analysis through a whodunnit mystery, assessing prints, blood type, pen ink and more. Campers get to know one another and learn how to talk about how to use the associated language with the math and science concepts.
Balloon Powered Vehicles – Summer 2018
Campers designed and built cars, hovercraft, and boats propelled by balloons and rubber bands.
Science of Magic – Summer 2018
Levitating, disappearing, or defying gravity, most magic tricks are really science! Campers observed, learned and practiced tricks to share at home.
