Refugee Family Project
In Dr. Cecila Silva’s Curriculum and Instruction in Second Language Classrooms, students complete the “Refugee Family Project” in which they meet a family with children attending FWISD schools. The TCU students met the families (who often have no or little English), helped the family negotiate public transportation to the International Newcomers Academy, planed/delivered an orientation meeting with a meal. Families attending the orientation received bags containing household supplies and food.
